During the 2013 China Mobile Global Partner Conference, China Mobile president Xi Guohua said, “TD-LTE industry chain just formed its primary scale and LTE network is more suitable for the mobile Internet. As the biggest implementor of 4G mobile communication network, it’s particularly significant to promote TD-LTE.”
4G undoubtedly came out as a hot topic in the conference. Xi announced in a statement that in the next year China Mobile will built over 500 thousand 4G base stations. This year 4G services would be available in 16 cities nationwide including Beijing, Shanghai, etc. Then by the end of 2014, more than 340 cities could enjoy China Mobile’s 4G service.
