A few days ago, CNMO learned from the "2021 Statistical Bulletin of the Communications Industry" released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that: in 2021, my country's communications industry's telecommunications business revenue will total 1.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.0% over the previous year. Calculated based on the same unit price of the previous year, the total amount of telecommunications business grew rapidly throughout the year, reaching 1.7 trillion yuan, an increase of 27.8%.
In terms of business areas, emerging digital services for enterprises, such as cloud computing and big data, developed rapidly, and the revenue of related businesses increased by 27.8% over the previous year, driving a 3.6% increase in telecommunications business revenue.
Under the orderly progress of relevant construction, the level of network coverage in my country has been continuously improved. By the end of 2021, a total of 1.425 million 5G base stations have been built and opened in my country, and the world's largest 5G network has been built, covering all prefecture-level cities, more than 98% of county towns, and 80% of townships.
